Make your own beautiful handbound book. A bookbinding kit is the perfect gift for the creative people in your life, or you can make the book yourself and give the finished journal as a gift.

The Bookbinding craft kit includes all the materials, tools, instructions and video tutorials that you need to make this gorgeous hand stitched book.

Dark indigo covers with a handpainted gold design on one side. use this as the front cover, or get really creative and put it on the back or inside and paint your own design for the front cover.

The kit includes:

  • Materials, tools, and instructions for creating a Coptic bound book:
  • 1 x Dark blue cover with hand-painted gold accents
  • 1 x Plain dark blue cover for the back
  • 24 x Sheets of recycled cartridge paper
  • 6 x Sheets of cotton rag paper
  • 1 x Awl
  • 1 x Curved needle
  • 1 x Measure
  • 1 x Linen thread
  • 1 x Bamboo folder

What else do you need?

  • A thick stack of scrap paper, old magazine, or craft mat
  • OPTIONAL – A straight edge and craft knife if you wish to trim the foredge of your book block (optional)
  • A cup of tea and some relaxing music to listen to while you stitch (also optional)

Shipping Policy

UK ORDERS
Are sent via first class. I buy my postage online and so your order will have a qr code that is scanned on posting and delivery with a GPS fix.

Typically orders arrive within 1-2 days but this isn’t guaranteed.
If it hasn’t arrived 2 weeks after I have posted it, please do let me know so that I can open an investigation with Royal Mail for you. If it still in the Royal Mail system they will consider it lost and issue compensation so that I can either fully refund you or remake and send again.
