Dorothy, my vintage baby Hermes typewriter does the typing and I do the painting (I also ‘help’ Dorothy)
Everything is hand stitched together with strong linen thread.
They make a fantastic small gift, stocking filler or teacher present.
HOW IS IT MADE?
Your book is created entirely by hand. Each cover is individually painted, your chosen text is typed on my vintage Baby Hermes typewriter (her name is Dorothy), and then the whole book is hand-stitched together.
I’m Michaela, and I handle every step myself—from painting to stitching—so every journal is truly unique.
HOW MUCH TEXT CAN I HAVE?
Your personalisation is typed on Dorothy, my vintage typewriter. The maximum text per size is:
A6 – Pocket Size
- Up to 28 characters per line (including spaces)
- Maximum 3 lines
A5 – Planner Size
- Up to 40 characters per line (including spaces)
- Maximum 5 lines
A4 – Epic Size
- Up to 60 characters per line (including spaces)
- Maximum 5 lines
ECO-CONSCIOUS
Creating sustainably is at the heart of what I do. Your order arrives beautifully presented in plastic-free packaging.
- Covers are made from heavy cotton paper produced using waste from the textile industry.
- Pages are made from thick recycled cartridge paper, suitable for fountain pens, inks, and a wide variety of sketching media.
- Each book includes a recycled paper band explaining the materials—ideal for an environmentally conscious gift.

HOW TO ORDER
- Choose your preferred size and colour.
- Add your personalised text in the box provided.
- Include all punctuation and capital letters exactly as you’d like them typed.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO ARRIVE?
I’m based in the UK and ship with Royal Mail.
- UK orders usually arrive within 1–2 days of dispatch.
- International orders take longer; USA deliveries typically take around two weeks from dispatch.
