Inspired by the tulips growing on the roof garden of narrowboat Willow Aurora, this beautiful stained glass tulip captures the soft pinks and creams of an early spring bloom in glass.
Each petal is handcrafted from delicate pink and white wispy glass, creating a marbled effect that changes as the light passes through it. The natural variations within the glass mean no two flowers will have exactly the same pattern, making every tulip genuinely individual.
The maker calls this design Blushing Cloud, inspired by the moment her own tulips begin to unfurl in spring.
The semi-translucent pink glass is swirled with cloud-like streaks of white. In natural light, these markings become particularly beautiful, giving the petals a soft glowing appearance.
Display your glass tulip near a window and the changing light throughout the day will reveal different colours and details within the glass.
At approximately 35cm tall, the tulip is designed to sit beautifully in a bud vase, amongst other stained glass flower stems or alongside living plants and greenery.
