Where the water inspires the work
My workshop is a narrowboat called Willow, moored along the English canals home, studio, and the quiet heart of everything I make.
I work in stained glass, cutting and copper-foiling each piece by hand, inspired by the world just outside the porthole: wildflowers along the towpath, birds that visit more reliably than the post, cottage gardens I pass slowly by water. Alongside the glass, I shape wool felt into flowers under the name Willow’s Wool Garden a softer companion to the glass, blooming all year regardless of season.
At the pace of the water
There’s no factory here, no production line just one boat, a workbench that rocks gently when another passes by, and many hours spent trying to catch the light and the seasons before they move on.
I’m an approved artisan with Country Living magazine, and every piece that leaves this boat has been made, packaged, and sent by me alone.
I make things slowly, the way the canal moves and I hope a little of that slowness and light finds its way into your home too.
